     Internet Public Library
The IPL is another excellent source for reference links.  The Reference Center has links to online versions of reference tools such as dictionaries, almanacs, biographies, etc.  There are also links organized by subject.  The FARQs (Frequently Asked Reference Questions) provide guides to popular topics.
     Librarians' Index to the Internet
This excellent and highly acclaimed site has links organized by subject.  The links have been critically evaluated by librarians.  Commercial sites with no informational content are not accepted.

Refdesk.com bills itself as "the single best source for facts on the Internet."  Established in 1995, the site aims to index quality sites and assist in the navigation of those sites.  It contains daily features, news and current events topics as well as reference resources such as facts at a glance, dictionaries, and encyclopedias.  Also contains subject categories and links to help and advice.  There are many, many links on this page so be sure to scroll all the way down, or check the site map.

       The official state government site for the Commonwealth of Kentucky.   Here you can find information on everything in
          state government, ranging from state park locations to job openings.

     Kentucky State Data Center
          The Kentucky State Data Center, located located at the University of Louisville, partners with the U.S. Census Bureau
          to provide access to cenus information for research and planning.  Their site contains census data specific to the state of
          Kentucky.

    State and Local Government on the Net
          Provides convenient one-stop access to the web sites of thousands of state agencies and city and county governments.

     U. S. Census Bureau  
          This official census site from the U.S. Department of Commerce provides national and local statistics as well as other
          census information, including maps and genealogical information. Also included on this site are population clocks, which
          give up-to-the-minute world and national population estimates.

         USA.gov is the U.S. government's official web portal. It contains links for all types of government information and 
         services.
